This blog is two things. It is a place for me to write about my memories of my days at Sunnybank State High School, and to display photographs, documents and information about those days half a lifetime ago.

And it is a place for others from those days to do the same. If you are one of the students who arrived at Turton Street in fresh bright uniforms in January 1970, or you joined the group later, or you are a school teacher or administrator from those days, or even a family member, then this is a place for you.

We might be losing our greying hair, we might have put on a few kilograms, we might have children and even grandchildren of our own, we might be scattered around Australia and the world, but inside each of us is that schoolgirl or schoolboy we once were, looking out on a world that is rushing past, as exciting and as colourful as ever.

This is a community. If you want to write or organise or administer, then please contact myself  or one of the other administrators. We are happy to haul you in to help us run the show. Your memories are welcome, your insights sought, your lives are golden. There is a place in each of us called Sunnybank State High School, and we can go back there together, to sit on the grass in the sunshine and talk about stuff.
